Visken 10mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called beta-blockers. It is used for treating hypertension (high blood pressure) and preventing angina (heart-related chest pain). It reduces blood pressure and helps in preventing future heart attacks and strokes. Visken 10mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond to the medicine. You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. It may be taken with or without food, preferably, at the same time each day. You should keep taking it even if you feel well. You are still getting the benefits. If you stop taking it suddenly, your condition may worsen. The most common side effects are nausea, headache, fatigue, slow heart rate, palpitations, and breathlessness. - Alcohol : UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Visken 10mg Tablet. - Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Visken 10mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. - Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Visken 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. - Driving : UNSAFE - Visken 10mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Visken 10mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Visken 10mg Tablet is recommended. However, use of Visken 10mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with serious kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable for dose adjustment. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Visken 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Visken 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
