These infections may include otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), tonsillitis (infection of tonsils), dental abscess (tooth infection), pneumonia (lung infection), cellulitis (skin infection), and urinary tract infection. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Additionally, Elecillin 125mg Syrup may also be given as a preventive antibiotic before certain surgical procedures. Usually, children start to feel better within 2-3 days of regular dosing. Make sure to finish the recommended course of the medicine as stopping the medicine abruptly may lead to ineffective treatment or worsen your child’s condition. In Treatment of Typhoid fever Typhoid fever is an infection of the gastrointestinal tract that spreads through contaminated food and water. Symptoms of such infection include high fever, headache, stomach pain, weakness, vomiting, and loose stools. Elecillin 125mg Syrup is given to eradicate Salmonella typhi bacteria which is responsible for causing typhoid in children. Keep giving Elecillin 125mg Syrup to your child as prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.

Please consult your doctor. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Elecillin 125mg Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Elecillin 125mg Syrup is recommended.
