Description

Systel 5mg Tablet is used in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, and migraine caused by various conditions. It is also used to treat vertigo (dizziness) due to ear problems (Meniere’s syndrome). Additionally, this medicine is also used in mental illnesses such as short-term anxiety. Systel 5mg Tablet is taken after meals in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should take this medicine until your doctor tells you to stop. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effect is orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing). This is temporary and usually resolves with time. How to use

Systel 5mg Tablet is a dopamine antagonist. Dopamine controls the region in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting and this medicine blocks the action of dopamine. Therefore, Systel 5mg Tablet shows an antiemetic action. Systel 5mg Tablet suppresses the vestibular apparatus in the inner ear and stops vertigo. The mechanism of action by which neuroleptics like prochlorperazine relieve headache is probably related to the dopamine D2 receptor antagonist. It has an antipsychotic effect by blocking the action of dopamine, which also affects thoughts and mood. So, it also helps to relieve short-term anxiety as well.
